What Are Eyelash Extensions?Eyelash extensions are made of synthetic fibers. They are applied using a professional adhesive, made with ingredients similar to those found in liquid stitches. Eyelash extensions add length, curl and volume to your natural lashes and can be customized to enhance and draw attention to your eyes. Extensions come in a variety of thicknesses, lengths and colors.
-
How Long Do Eyelash Extensions Last? With proper at home care, the adhesive will last anywhere from 6-8 weeks. However, you shed 3-5 natural lashes everyday. Which is why refills are recommended every 2-3 weeks. There are many factors that could affect the retention of your extensions, including improper home care, not cleaning the lash line, oily eyelids, the use of oil-based products on or around the eyes, medications, allergies, thyroid or hormonal issues, lifestyle, seasonal changes and so much more.
-
How Long Are Eyelash Extension Appointments?Appointments can take anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on the desired style and the amount of natural lashes. Please schedule accordingly and make sure you can stay the entirety of your appointment.
-
Can I Swim, Shower, Exercise or Tan While Wearing Eyelash Extensions?"We ask that you refrain from getting your lashes wet within the first 24 hours. After the initial 24 hours you can participate in all of these activities, however cleansing your lashes after each swim, workout or tanning session is recommended to avoid build-up along the lash line.
-
What Is The Aftercare For Eyelash Extensions?-Do not wet/use steam on lashes for 24 hours. -Do not get oil products on your lashes. -Do not pick/pull at lashes. -Brush your lashes daily or as needed. -Cleanse your lashes daily with our Lash Bath cleanser. -Do NOT use a lash curler or mascara. Avoid using cream, gel or pencil eyeliner. -Avoid extreme heat on your lashes (grills, blowdryer, fire)
-
Can I Wear Makeup/Mascara With Eyelash Extensions? You can wear eye makeup (powder is recommended) while wearing extensions. You should NOT use mascara as it will alter the appearance of your extensions and cause retention issues. Mascara does not remove easily from extensions and will usually leave residue behind which can lead to poor retention. Most of our clients get extensions so that they can eliminate eye makeup and simplify their routine. If you decide to wear makeup/mascara, avoid oil based and waterproof products as they will break down the bond of the extension and ONLY apply lash extension safe mascara to your lower lashes.
-
How Do I Clean My Eyelash Extensions? It's necessary to clean and brush your lashes/lash line daily to prevent eye irritation, infection, blepharitis or other eye health issues. To do so, use an oil-free makeup remover to fully remove any makeup/debris in the lashes to keep your lashes healthy and allow the lashes to perform their primary function of keep things out of your eyes. Then follow up with a lash extension safe cleanser that is specially formulated for eyelash extension wearers that's gentle and safe on both the natural lash and the extension adhesive.
-
Lash Lifts vs. Eyelash ExtensionsEyelash extensions are individually applied to natural eyelashes. It results in a fuller, thicker and longer appearance. Extensions need to get filled every 2-3 weeks. Lash lifting takes your natural eyelashes and curls them. Similar to the look you get from using an eyelash curler - however it lasts 8-12 weeks.
-
How Long Are Lash Lift Appointments?Lash lifts take approximately 1 hour - 1.5 hours (with tint).
-
How Long Do Lash Lifts Last?Lash lifts are permanent for the full natural lash shedding cycle which is typically 8-12 weeks. When the lift is fully grow out, a client is ready to have another lift.
-
What Is The Aftercare For Lash Lifts? After care is very simple for lash lifts: - do not wet your lashes for 24 hours - refrain from using WATERPROOF mascara (regular mascara is fine after 24 hours) - brush lashes daily - apply conditioning serum daily - do not sleep on your face/lashes

Does Waxing Hurt?Depending on the area being waxed and your sensitivity level, pain associated with waxing is relatively mild and temporary for most clients. Painful waxing experiences typically come from improper application and removal of the wax resulting in tugging of the hair and pulling, bruising or lifting of the skin. Hard wax is gentler during removal as it does not adhere to the skin like soft wax.
-
How Long Does The Hair Need To Be To Get Waxed? The hair to be waxed should be about 1/4 of an inch or about the size of a grain of rice. If you have recently shaved it is recommended to wait about 2-3 weeks following the last time you shaved for the best possible wax results.
-
I'm On My Period, Can I Still Get A Brazilian?"The short answer is yes, you can still be waxed. Please keep in mind that you will be more sensitive the few days leading up to and following your period as well as during your period. So you may feel the temperature of the wax more along with the possibility of an increased feeling of pain during the waxing service. A tampon must be worn during the service while on your period.
-
What Type Of Wax Is Used?At Pure Bliss Beautique we use hard wax. Hard wax is applied in a thick layer and then begins to harden, capturing the hair in the wax. It is then removed by quickly peeling it away from the skin. Because hard wax does not adhere to the skin like soft wax does, it is found to be much gentler and less painful than soft wax. Hard wax does not always remove the downy soft hair and thus is ideal for using on all areas of the body, it is also great for areas with coarse, thick hair like underarms and bikini/brazilian.

Am I A Good Candidate For Waxing? If you fall within ANY of the following categories, you would NOT make a good candidate for waxing (also called contraindications): Use of prescription strength exfoliating (or acne) products (i.e. Retin-A, Accutane, Tazorac, Differin Gel, Tretinoin, etc). Please stop the use of topical products Retin-A at least 10 days prior to your waxing service (although it is preferred you not have used the product in at least 3 months) Accutane or other ingest-able exfoliating medications requires 6 months-1 year of a break between to your last dose and your waxing service. These products thin the skin and thus is HIGHLY LIKELY you will lift skin and then scab if wax is applied and you have not informed your service provider of your medication use. Topical or oral antibiotic use, mild exfoliating products (AHAs or BHAs), and Retinols can all cause the skin to thin thus making you vulnerable to lifting and sensitivity. Please disclose any use of these products to your service provider. Recent chemical peel or microdermabrasion of any kind. Please allow 7 days between a mild chemical peel (glycolic, lactic, etc.) has occured or 7 days after your peeling has stopped for mid-level to deep penetrating peels (TCA, Jessner, Salicylic, etc) Recent sunburn or prolonged exposure to the sun/tanning bed. Please allow for 7 days once the redness and peeling has stopped if your burn was severe enough. Visible skin trauma including but not limited to: burns, scabs, open wounds, infections, lesions, sores, dry or scaly and flaking skin, herpes outbreak, moles or raised skin, post surgical scarring less than 6 months old or severe acne. Please allow the skin to heal and clear before seeking a waxing service. Diabetics or those undergoing cancer treatment. These two conditions often affect your body's ability to heal from any damage or trauma and thus should be avoided
-
How Do I Prepare For My Wax?- let hair grow out 2 to 3 weeks (about a quarter of an inch) before going in for waxing. - book your service early in the morning before your skin gets clammy from exercise or errands - stay out of the sun 24 hours before and after your waxing service. - exfoliate the area to be waxed, the day before your appointment with a loofah or body scrub. Follow up with baby oil to soften the hair follicles.
-
Does The Service Hurt?Every person and their pain tolerance is different, since the pen doesn't use needles there is a less likely chance to feel any pain, most clients say they don't feel anything at all.
-
Is There Pre-Treatment Care?Yes!! You can prepare for your treatment by using a mixture of sugar and coconut oil to exfoliate the lips one week before the session. Do NOT use vitamin E oil one week prior to appointment, as this will promote bleeding. Drink plenty of water before your treatment for the best results. Hyaluronic acid holds 1,000 times its weight in water! Anti-inflammatory supplements and medications such as aspirin, Vitamin E, ibuprofen and others should be discontinued one week prior to treatment. Do NOT drink caffeine or alcohol 48 hours prior to the service. They are known to thin out the blood. Eat pineapple the 3 days prior to your appointment, this helps to prevent/minimize bruising. If you can't eat pineapple try taking a bromelain supplement can help reduce the amount of time your lips may be bruised.
-
How Long Does The Filler Last? The answer to this question is not as simple as it may seem, it really does depend on the metabolism of each individual, along with that individual's water intake. Hyaluronic Acis a water-loving molecule (it can hold 1,000x's its weight in water) As far as the longevity of Hyaluronic Acid, it can last anywhere from 6-9 months. With regular maintenance some clients even see results for up to a year. Please keep in mind that this product 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, so coming in for your touch up appointments every 3-4 weeks until you reach your desired volume, will yield you better longer lasting results.
